The patches from http://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/readline/readline-4.3-patches/ has not been applied to src/contrib/libreadline and can, among other, cause problems with bash, making it core-dump with 60-70 MB core dumps, triggering an endless recursive loop in libreadline
