drais> fwiw, its 4.4-20010920-STABLE, linux_base-6.1.

It seems that 4-stable as of Sep/20/2001 does not implement fstat64
syscall of Linux. But it was MFCed Nov/05/2001; what if you update
your system to the latest 4-stable?
