Hi.

On a dual opteron system with 4 GB of physical RAM and 12 BG of swap
running 5.2.1, I am running a job that produces a seg fault when it
appears to approach the 8GB mark. Limits are reported as follows:

Resource limits (current):
  cputime          infinity secs
  filesize         infinity kb
  datasize          8388608 kb

and am thinking that it might be the datasize limitation. I have
searched the man and faq as to how to modify datasize to be 12GB (limits
-d 12g) but would like to change this in general. I looked in
/etc/login.conf and see it is unlimited for the default class
(datasize=unlimited).

My question is, how can I change this to avoid this limit in general?
