Ah, a challenge! :-)

Unfortunately, I don't have -stable on my Alpha and building a 4.x
source tree on current seems to work (besides gensetdefs missing).
If the patch is needed to make the module compile, then by all means
feel free to commit. I have no way to test or verify it, or even
reason about it (no failure details).
