Thanks for pointing to this problem! We expecting to get samba-3.0.9, which is going to fix this problem, released on Friday, so I think there is no mu= ch sence to just commit this patch only... There are numerous of (minor) problems with 3.0.8 due to the fact that it was "ad hog" release aiming to fix D.O.S. in Samba.
