I'm using a Compex card here, based on the DEC PCI ethernet chip.  Really
rips along.  FTP to an AlphaStation (which uses the same chip) runs at 
over 1000K/sec.

(Amusingly, ping -f to the DEC results in the odd dropped packet or two,
but the other way around nothing is lost 8)
