Actually what was written in the HARDWARE.TXT even if very accurate and usefull and interesting lead to discussions on the mailing list on how to recognize MX5 from GL. For example in the HARDWRE.TXT is not written that if you have a 500a with a QLogic 1040 it will boot from SCSI rather if you have ADaptec it won't boot or it will boot only from ISA, there is written SRM does not support boot from SCSI. Anyway I had many doubts even after reading HARDWARE.TXT. So there are many people on the list with different experiences and opinions and so I Wanted to try to probe this, sorry if I did something wrong.
