Awhile ago, I suggested modifying netstart to allow "NO" to mean
don't do an explicit ifconfig. If you looked at that, you might
have noticed that I didn't quote some of the arguments to test
and fixed it. If you didn't notice, well, check it out; the
references to ifconfig_args require quotes to prevent the test
operator from failing.
