I am using cdrecord to burn some cd's,
I have 2 cdroms and a cd-rw installed,
1 cdrom is a 24 speed generic the other is
a BTC 40 speed.

if I use the 40 speed cdrom to read from
the input buffer empties and the cd writing
fails but if i use the 24 speed to read from
everything is fine.

I tried slowing down the writing process from
4 to 2 and that just waits longer into the write
to fail.

do you know of any issues pertaining to this?

BTW... they are IDE and the writer is SCSI
Yamaha 6416s.

thanks for all your help, you people are the
best!
