Never mind my email asking about why I didn't catch this with the LINT
kernel.  ;-)

We (I) had consensus from peter, dfr (in the terminal room), msmith,
yourself, dillon(I think he was in the discussion).  I haven't done
anything with it as I thought peter was working torwards that with all
his config(8) changes over the past year.
