feedback provided
it appears to be an atkbdc problem (backtrace + panic received)
a workaround is to attach atkbdc to acpi instead of isa
from /boot/device.hints
this needs to be fixed in isa drivers but I think we need to discuss
the device.hints defaults in an ACPI world
