From: John To: freebsd-gnats-submit@FreeBSD.org, john@starfire.mn.org Cc: Subject: Re: kern/75978: Linsys WPC11 ver 3 wifi card locks up 5.2.1, worked with 4.9-stable Date: Mon, 10 Jan 2005 11:50:41 -0600 I have upgraded to 5.3-STABLE via cvsup, and confirmed that the problem still exists. I just borrowed a friend's NETGEAR card, and reproduced it with that card, as well - so it's not tied to one type of card, nor is it due to a card hardware fault. What it looks like now is: wi0: at port 0x100-0x13f irq 11 function 0 config 1 on pccard0 Fatal trap 19: non-maskable interrupt trap while in kernel mode instruction pointer = 0x8:0xc05bdc68 stack pointer = 0x10:0xcea94ba4 frame pointer = 0x10:0xcea94bb0 code segment = base 0x0, limit 0xfffff, type 0x1b = DPL 0, pres 1, def32 1, gran 1 processor eflags = interrupt enabled, IOPL = 0 current process = 38 (cbb0) trap number = 19 panic: non-maskable interrupt trap It continues to lock up the system so hard that the power disconnect does not work - I have to remove and replace the battery to turn it off - which means I have to type all this stuff from the screen, so please forgive any typos. -- John Lind john@starfire.MN.ORG
