I answered you privately but my response probably should be shared.  Took me
a while to realize what you were pointing out.

Yes, it appears the rndtest module is useless right now.  At one time I had
things structured so that drivers were contacted by rndtest to do the
interposing but that got too messy so I went to the current structure where
drivers must be compiled with rndtest support in them and the kernel must
include the rndtest driver.  At some point I'd like to see this
functionality go elsewhere and this may make it possible to be a module
again.

Not sure if I should purge the module or not.  It compiles.  Perhaps I
should just unhook it from the build.
