At the last company I worked for when we need to setup more than on IP on
the same device, we used /etc/rc.local.

#!/bin/sh
echo "Setting up IP Aliasing"
ifconfig dc0 inet 208.224.94.2 netmask 255.255.255.192 alias

Am I correct that in freebsd 4.x
rc.local is now deprecated?

I am using 4.1.1-Stable now.
I searched the handbook and could'nt find anything relevant to my question
I apologize in advance if this question is inapropriate.

thanks,
-mike
