The following reply was made to PR ports/122381; it has been noted by GNATS. From: Daniel Roethlisberger <daniel@roe.ch> To: lfmail@byterider.net Cc: bug-followup@FreeBSD.org Subject: Re: ports/122381: net-mgmt/collectd in FreeBSD 7.0 i386 and sparc64 segfaults (memcpy libc) Date: Mon, 5 May 2008 17:46:02 +0200 This seems to happen with some (mis-)configurations and/or plugin failures. For instance, the CPU plugin seems to crash with more than one CPU cores. Try tweaking the configuration to find out which module or which statement triggers the segmentation fault. I will try to take care of segfaults when updating collectd to the latest release, which I plan to do within the next few weeks. -- Daniel Roethlisberger http://daniel.roe.ch/
