It's not a big deal to work around some build corners in the port. So we could commit the support for the long overdue update now. Then you could tweak dhcpcd at your leisure. But it's okay to wait a week for a minor upstream update, too - it's been 5 years since the last update to the freebsd port - one more week won't hurt.
