  Since the poster has already tried a dump/reload cycle, I suspect that
FreeBSD 4.2-RELEASE to 4.2-STABLE has a problem with MySQL.  Of course it
is well known that 4.2-RELEASE has a thread mutex bug.  See the other
thread in this mailing list on MySQL issues...
