It is currently running solaris 9 but I want to put freebsd on it because I am more familiar with freebsd. Before I do however, I need to figure out a few things. 1. How do I tell what video card is installed in the system? Solaris says afb0 whic isn't very helpful. I opened the case and looked but the card has no labels other then serial numbers. It is in a pci slot. 2. Does the onboard audio work in bsd? Is there any voodoo that needs to be done to make it work? This machine is my desktop machine. I use it for writing and printing, surfing the net, IM and email. What is the status of the ports collection on sparc? Thanks for your time folks! Abe
