Enoch,

I'm fairly new at this but I had similar problem -

I found that I had to remove 'HIMEM' and 'EMM386' from the config file
before I could run the install programs from the CD. Found it easier to
create a boot floppy and install that way.

IDE is supported but you should run inst_ide.bat (I think or maybe it's
inst-ide.bat - can't remember) on the CD. But I had to remove the above
from the config.sys file before doing so. If your machine came with Win95
you may have to create the dos boot disk to boot your machine clean.

Hope I haven't missed the mark by too much and Hope this helps
