If either of you are using a recent version of KDE-2.1.1, have you ever
tried turning on the monitor power management. It is off of preferences
> power control > monitor. I have mine set to suspend my monitor at 32 minutes. When I turn on power control for the montior, my system completely locks up at ~30+ minutes. I have tried various combination but it only dies when the power control is turned on. The system that it is hanging is a SMP system.
