Since then I've changed my laptop several times, and they all seem to rattle in the space the Toshiba left. I've just checked out an Inspiron 7500, and it would fit sideways in the space. The couple of lbs difference in total weight hardly make any difference, but I think it's a remarkably ugly laptop.
