I Actually had this trouble I installed xemacs 19.16 and it does not work it search for a library which does nto exist called libcomp.a so I installed it wia ports collection and it works. then also xemacs20.3 in the 2.2.6-RELEASE packages does not work. IT does not work also if I compile it via ports collection.
