(ISI) in Marina del Rey, California is one of the world's leading
research centers in the fields of computer science and information
technology. ISI is seeking a Network Operations Specialist for their
Computer Networks Division, one of the largest and most active
research groups in the world working exclusively on network

JOB SUMMARY

The Network Operations Specialist will coordinate and support
operations of the DETER security testbed, a specially designed emulab
cluster supporting repeatable experiments in computer security on a
contained testbed of several hundred nodes, possibly involving the
execution of risky code.  This person will provide support to DETER
users and others conducting experiments on the DETER testbed.

The DETER research community consists of academic, industry and
government researchers working toward better defenses against
malicious attacks on our networking infrastructure, and especially
critical infrastructure.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Related undergraduate study and a minimum of 3 years of experience. BS
degree preferred. Experience working with Unix (FreeBSD or Linux) and
knowledge in various aspects of computer network and network
protocols is essential.  Experience with cluster computing, Emulab, and/or
PlanetLab is desirable. Documentation and writing skills also
desirable.
