How about rdist 6.x as a port? Given that -it- is the one going through
development, it offers new features, and it is supported elsewhere, that
seems like the best compromise. The new rdist doesn't have to ship as
part of FreeBSD (at this time), and it would be a good canidate for moving
to the external heirarchy once it (and we) mature.

Maybe one as a port? That would actually be easier!
