you don't have to "translate" a .tgz file : it's the standard way of distributing packages : you just have to type "add_pkg pkg_name.tgz" and evereything will be fine (better yet, install packages via /stand/sysinstall - all is done via easy menus) Hope this helps TfH ____________________________ Séparateur Réponse ________________________________ Objet : pkg an .tgz package Auteur : sbns@polbox.com Date : 18/05/98 16:02 Hello Freebsd-questions, May somebody describe to me how translate the .tgz package to form in which I can use pkg_add to install it.
