     you don't have to "translate" a .tgz file : it's the standard way of 
     distributing packages : 
     you just have to type "add_pkg pkg_name.tgz" and evereything will be 
     fine (better yet, install packages via /stand/sysinstall - all is done 
     via easy menus)

Hello Freebsd-questions,
     
  May  somebody  describe to me how translate the .tgz package to form 
  in  which  I can use pkg_add to install it. May be there is somewere 
  the instruction for newbees on web?
