Well, after deleting the gtk12 and glib12 checks in the Makefile, I was
able to make the xmms port and it runs fine...I don't know enough about
Makefiles to know why it didn't work, since I do have the requisite
libraries...

$ gtk12-config --version
1.2.2
$ glib12-config --version
1.2.2
