okay, now I understand the context.
There are currently 1083 of these ports right now, so fixing them individually
or via PR is not efficient.  That warning is really for port developers, not
users.  But now I see where this is coming from.

gmake is a dependency for like 14,000 ports directly or indirectly so it's not
touched likely.

I don't want to discourage you from submitting PRs -- It's just that PRs like
this aren't a good use of your time since it will get fixed anyway.

We definitely know about this and the other 1082 ports that suffer it.
