The 3ware works really well if you are looking for an IDE RAID card.

Also, I find a *much* higher failure rate with the travan cart tapes.  We 
gave up on the technology a few months ago and just stick with DAT 
drives.  The initial cost is a little higher, but cheaper in the long run, 
not to mention more reliable.
