Whenever I build a kernel with pcm (the only change from GENERIC), the kernel hangs most of the time just before the ata devices. It's never booted twice in a row with that kernel, and generic works fine. Also, I find that the few times that it has booted, mpg123 plays mp3 files too fast. I've found a couple different references from people with similar problems, but no solutions so far. Does anyone know of a fix for either of these? Thanks. -Victor Following is dmesg output while booting the GENERIC kernel: Copyright (c) 1992-2001 The FreeBSD Project.
