Subject: generate core dump with gdb?

Is there any way to tell gdb to generate a core dump of the
currently running process? For example, after starting the
process from within gdb or attaching to an already running
process.

I tried "signal 6" (SIGABRT) but that didn't seem to work.

Thanks
-Archie
