What exactly do you mean by "loading the kernel module to use a high res bitmap"? This is my loader.rc, are you saying there is am option for the ``load vesa'' line? I've tried bitmaps of 640x480, 800x600, and 1024x768 and they all give an error 19, only 320x200 works. load /kernel load vesa load -t userconfig_script /kernel.config load -t splash_image_data /dawn.bmp load splash_bmp autoboot > I'm using a 800x600 bitmap perfectly. > > --- > Khetan Gajjar (!kg1779) * khetan@iafrica.com ; khetan@os.org.za > http://www.os.org.za/~khetan * Talk/Finger khetan@chain.freebsd.os.org.za > FreeBSD enthusiast * http://www2.za.freebsd.org/ > Security-wise, NT is a OS with a "kick me" sign taped to it > > -- FreeBSD - The Power To Serve http://www.freebsd.org My Webpage http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~markov _______________________________________________________________ Mark Ovens, CNC Apps Engineer, Radan Computational Ltd.
