with a retail audio CD i don't get any error. so this is the same as with data cds.

i tried with three different manufacturers:

Disk type: Long strategy type (Cyanine, AZO or similar)
Manuf. index: 26
Manufacturer: TDK Corporation

Disk type: Long strategy type (Cyanine, AZO or similar)
Manuf. index: 11
Manufacturer: Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation

Disk type: Short strategy type (Phthalocyanine or similar)
Manuf. index: 27
Manufacturer: Prodisc Technology Inc.

...all suffer from the same issue.

my drive's firmware is XP02 and i believe it's the latest one.

cheers.
