If I recall correctly...
At one point someone from Sun/Virtualbox was looking for someone to do PAID 
work to get FreeBSD to work with Virtualbox. They could not find a single 
person to take on the task.

The way I see it, if they can not get someone to do paid work, then there is 
little hope to see virtualization in the short term.
