Since I have another Alpha to use I thought I would try loading the
ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/snapshots/alpha/5.0-20000714-CURRENT
image.

Shortly after loading the MFS root floppy it traped

fatel kernel trap:

	trap entry = 0x4 (unaligned access fault)
	a0		= 0xffffc0000644d2f
	a1		= 0x2c
	a2		= 0x2
	pc		= 0xfffffc00003c9c0c
	ra		= 0xfffffc00003c9bb8
	curproc		= 0

panic: trap

Oh, btw whats the trick to get SRM to work on the serial port?

Thanks --mikej
