Since my IBM R40e Thinkpad at the office says that I have a AC97 2.2 compatible and I was able to enable sound by compiling my kernel with the "device pcm", this is also what I did with my desktop PC, above, but: $ dmesg | grep pcm pcm0: port 0xee80-0xeebf,0xe800-0xe8ff mem 0xfebff400-0xfebff4ff,0xfebff800-0xfebff9ff irq 10 at device 31.5 on pci0 pcm0: Is there anyway that I can enable the onboard audio on my desktop PC? I would really appreciate if anyone can give me any advice on this one... Thanks in advance... Srot BULL
