Ok, so far the consus seems to be that 5 seconds is fine even with ceepy
hardware out there.

The modularization of GENERIC diverged into a little bike-shed pretty
quickly but the rough consus so far seems to be that it doesn't provide
any really significant benefits. One has to edit the whole stuff anyway.

Unless there are objections I'm going to change the SCSI waiting to five
seconds in all GENERIC's in a few hours.
