Now, I've upgraded to 5.3 on ACPI is no longer working. With acpi enabled, the laptop starts but after 10-15 seconds it stops and won't respond to anything. Currently it runs without ACPI with the thermal coolers on full speed. It's irritating, and it'll probably eat up the batteries much faster than running with ACPI. * Is there any tunable options to get ACPI working? * What is the differences with ACPI on FreeBSD 4 vs 5? * Can I run FreeBSD 4-ACPI on FreeBSD 5? My laptop is a Acer Travelmate 630-series. dmesg out is as follows (with ACPI disabled): Copyright (c) 1992-2004 The FreeBSD Project.
