I've commented (several times) that www.findmail.com is offering to archive mailing lists, and have a very nice interface (I've elected to drop out of some mailing lists and only read them through findmail...) If you don't want the work of maintaining this, they seem to be doing a _very_ good work on archiving and retrieving messages. We permit external archives, right?
