Buy one with postscript and a jet direct engine if possible.  You'll be
able to speak directly to it on your ethernet then :).  If it doesn't come
with postscript then Ghostscript can do PS -> PJL, and I do that on my
one laserjet 4L at home.  If it doesn't had a jetdirect you can always
plug it into the freebsd box's printer port :)
