Wolfe" Subject: xwindows not starting Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Sender: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG i have installed FreeBSD many times now and have noticed that about half of the time after the xwindows setup you can type 'startx' and xwindows will start up fine and the other half i get a message regarding the absence of a file called xinit or something similar. Anyone know why that is and how I might be able to fix the problem in my current installation?
