Do you mean "windowmanager" =3D WindowMaker?

This sounds like a bug in windowmaker I see from time to time with
firebird, mostly during text entry.  Minimizing the window and
maximizing it again lets me continue.  Sounds like a WM bug, not a
firebird/emacs one.
