The problems I see are the same as I saw on DP2. 1. PCcards are not seen. I get the message: pccard1: Card has no functions! cbb1: PC Card card activation failed This has been reported on other ThinkPads and is being addressed, but the lack of a network connection makes working on things rather difficult. 2. ACPI crashed the system. The same problem was reported earlier today by Paul A. Mayer . Hopefully it will be easer for him to get a crash dump than it is for me. Grr. One thing is better. ACPI does seem to correctly report system temperatures. This was NOT the case for DP2. I also had the previously reported problems of garbage on the sysinstall window while it was preparing the disks. Finally, I get an odd message from sysinstall when I am ready to label my disk: ============================================= | Disk slicing warning: | |Max one 'fat' allowed as child of 'whole' | | | |===================================(100%)==| | [ OK ] | |=[Press F1 to read more about disk slices ]| Huh? I have always had two FAT slices on my hard drive and have never had any problems with it. (Both are primary partitions.) I said "OK" and continued with no problems that I could see. R.
