The command line lpr report looks like this: % lpq HP_LaserJet_4000_Series is ready and printing Rank Owner Job File(s) Total Size active poly 20 Google - Opera 419840 bytes Then it disappears after a few seconds % lpq HP_LaserJet_4000_Series is ready no entries The printer doesn't start to print. If I try this from other programs (e. g. Gimp, the Sylpheed MUA, or OpenOffice), the entry is listed, and the printer starts to work.
