X-URL: http://www.freebsd.org/cgi-bin/mail-archive.pl?words=atapi&source=freebsd-questions.src&max=25&docnum=2 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Sender: owner-questions@freebsd.org Precedence: bulk Hi, I managed to re-compile the kernel with atapi option and wcd0 device enabled. When I reboot the machine, the probing went fine. It recognized wdc1 and wcd0. But what happens is that my hardrive LED will stays on until I reboot the machine and disable the wdc1. But before I disable the wdc1, I can mount the cdrom, cd to /cdrom, do ls and it'll display the content of the cd-rom. I am puzzled. I couldn't find a lot of discussion regarding this issue, and hopefully someone in here can enlighten my day. Thanx in advance. p/s: I have 2.1 , my cdrom is Sony cdu76E atapi-quad speed. It is on 2nd controller, and jumpered Master. p/ss: Or maybe there's something I need to change in the /etc/fstabs in order to mount it properly ???
