FWIW, one of the machines affected also has a 3com 3c509, but the others do not. Two have softupdates enabled. Each has had an unexplained reboot only the once so the "continual" rebooting issues that some of you have had probably aren't the same thing. I've recently cvsupped to a more recent version and will keep an eye on things - will report back any useful info I can come up with...
