I plan to install freebsd on another machine, so I will probably use NFS to pull /usr from that machine, after I get a new HDD. Subsequently, it is unfortunate that I do not have a tape drive. Otherwise I would have backed things up and things would have been fine. On the other hand, I really do not have any thing very important on my machine. All my important stuff is in my account here at school, and the school sys admin backs that up on every now and then. Sorry, about .... I should let my brain reboot before posting for help. +---------------+----------------------------+---------------+ | Tam Weng Seng | May the source be with you | Tan Yongcheng | +---------------+----------------------------+---------------+
