Setting up a printer is not always a long process.  If your printer does
not support PostScript directly, just install apsfilter from the ports
collection (see /usr/share/doc/handbook/handbook.html for instructions on
compiling from the ports collection).  Apsfilter is a great tool that
makes setting up a printer a very quick and easy task.

Yup.  This is a good book for a newbie.  It helped me :).
