I suspect that a LATEST_LINK in wxgtk24-docs is less obtrusive than a PORTNAME change in wxgtk26-docs. And also, changing the PORTNAME of an established port just to get a different LATEST_LINK value seems a bit overkill when you can just set a LATEST_LINK value.
