--AqsLC8rIMeq19msA Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Hi folks, =20 today I am getting my hands on a new motherboard. I upgraded my system from VIA KT133A based Motherboard (Athlon 1GHz) to a KT266A based one with an Athlon XP 1600+ (DDR Ram). It seems that the hardware is working pr= oberly. =20 If I try to boot my FreeBSD installation the kernel boots up and after init was started I am gettings signal 8 at the following processes. (fsck_ufs, ...). I tried to boot without ACPI but it doesn't change anything. FreeBSD will only boot with "FreeBSD Safe-Mode" choosen from the start menu. =20 Can anyone tell me what "FreeBSD Safe-Mode" means? My kernel-config is only a little bit different from GENERIC. Should I change something in my kernel config? Should I "make world" again? =20 best regards, Gordon --=20 Gordon Bergling <GBergling@0xfce3.net> http://www.0xFCE3.net/ PGP Fingerprint: 7732 9BB1 5013 AE8B E42C 28E0 93B9 D32B C76F 02A0 RIPE-HDL: MDTP-RIPE "There is no place like 127.0.0.0/8" --AqsLC8rIMeq19msA Content-Type: application/pgp-signature Content-Disposition: inline -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (FreeBSD) iD8DBQFA1vptk7nTK8dvAqARAmgDAJ4gplgS5AmPxgvHa1Ym8PrjmbFw/gCgsg9F 89Zkv3PG/uUwol+cd90uoRM= =TO+U -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --AqsLC8rIMeq19msA--
