Already tried that, and the capabilities were /not/ listed in the log, the way it was described in several tutorials. <rant>This is starting to look like one of the most common problems in F/OSS: Theory != Practice. In theory, any one of the methods already tried and suggested here should work. In practice, the "documentation" (MonitorsDB) is wrong (at least according to x.org), and none of the quoted methods work the way they should.
